For those who love people and
want to follow the ministry of Jesus Christ, there is no
better office to assume
than that of deacon in the Presbyterian church.
As the Book of order puts it, "The office of deacon as set forth in
Scripture is one of
sympathy, witness
and service after the example of Jesus Christ."
Deacon's hearts go out to
those in distress, to members who have suffered loss,
to neighbors in the
hospital, to friends, to members who are shut-in and lonely
and cannot leave their homes,
to people in the community who have lost their way
and can no longer find it, to
anyone who needs to experience the love of Christ.
You may call on any deacon at
anytime. However every month one deacon is available
to help you if needed.
Please feel free to call the church if you need anything, such as
a ride to church, grocery
shopping etc. If you have any concerns or just need a friend
to talk or pray with. The
deacons are here to serve you with God's love.
