Duncannon Presbyterian Church Women’s
Association
At our 2010 January Meeting it was decided by
the 4 members present that the women’s association would become inactive.
This was a hard decision for us, but we do
not have the members or the support to continue at this time.
By officially being placed as inactive, we
will not loose the years of service that the women of the past, who with
love and devotion kept it alive and active since 1882.
I hope that sometime in the future there will
be women who will take the interest to restore the women’s association as
“Active” again
The remaining money in the treasury was used
to purchase light weight tables for the fellowship hall. These tables are
presented by the Women’s Association in honor of Emma Lott and Dorothy
Simmons. Theses two ladies kept the association active for many years.
The balance of the money was donated to the
Building Fund.
Love in Christ,
Roberta Lightner
President
God bless all who were
faithful and supportive in the past.

Presbyterian Women’s
Association Circle
A Circle is:
Where faith is
nurtured and growth takes place through worship, study, friendship and
outreach.
Where women are
challenged to stretch beyond their limits
Where women move
beyond the safe places of life and reach out to others.
Where Christian
leadership is born, nurtured and sent forth into ministry.
A circle “costs”
something!
Members must be willing to participate in prayer,
study and service,
and learn how to be accepting and forgiving of each other.

The President of Duncannon Presbyterian
Church Women's Association Retires
Emma Lott was President for 15 years
She was always faithful to this association
putting in many hours preparing the programs and business meeting.
We thank her for serving as President for so many years
Emma will remain a loyal member of the association, attending meetings when she
can.
Emma is an amazing lady in her 90'S
May God continue to bless her and give her good health.
Thank You Emma
Treasurer of Duncannon Presbyterian Church Women's Association Retires
Dorothy Simmons has been the treasurer for many years (do not know how many)
had a bad fall last year, the assistant treasurer took
over her duties in 2008
hoping that Dorothy would be coming back.
Dorothy had another fall and is now doing well but not able to fulfill her
duties as treasurer.
We pray that God will continue to heal her and bless her for the many years of
service
she gave to this association.
Thank You
Dorothy.
